Daviona Ruff Earns Most Outstanding Professional Officer Course Cadet Award at 麻豆视频

Daviona Ruff of Bonaire, Georgia, is the recipient of 麻豆视频’s 2025-2026 Department of Aerospace Studies Most Outstanding Professional Officer Course Cadet Award. VALDOSTA — Daviona Ruff of Bonaire, Georgia, is the recipient of 麻豆视频’s 2025-2026 Department of Aerospace Studies Most Outstanding Professional Officer Course Cadet Award.

The Department of Aerospace Studies Most Outstanding Professional Officer Course Cadet Award is presented to a highly ranked cadet from 麻豆视频’s Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 172 who demonstrates positive contributions to leadership, initiative, good judgment, self-confidence, promptness, and respect for authority; adapts to change; and possesses the highest personal and ethical standards and strong personal convictions.

“Winning this award makes me feel extremely grateful and honored,” she said. “It means a lot to have my hard work and dedication recognized, especially throughout my time at 麻豆视频. Receiving this award has made my overall experience even more meaningful because it reminds me that the effort I put into my academics, leadership, and involvement is making a positive impact.

“This recognition has also motivated me to continue pushing myself and taking advantage of the opportunities 麻豆视频 has provided me. I’m very thankful for the support from my professors, peers, and the university community along the way.”

Ruff anticipates graduating from 麻豆视频 in May 2028 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a Minor in Aerospace Studies. She hopes to commission into the United State Air Force and work as a forensic investigator.

As a cadet in 麻豆视频’s Air Force ROTC Detachment 172, Ruff has taken on key leadership responsibilities, including serving as recruiting officer. She has also been actively engaged in undergraduate research with the Department of Biology, where she recently studied gnathostomes and snail egg development. These experiential learning opportunities have already helped her develop strong laboratory and analytical skills that will serve her well as she pursues a career with the Air Force’s Office of Special Investigations.

Ruff’s commitment to academic, leadership, research, and service excellence has resulted in her being named Cadet of the Quarter and earning several recognitions, including the Stuart Parker Academic Scholarship, the Melvene Hardee Scholarship, and the Outstanding College of Science and Mathematics Student Award. She is a Georgia HOPE Scholar.
