Phillip Hurd Talks Fraud Nov. 17 at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ
VALDOSTA — Phillip Hurd, chief audit executive at the Georgia Institute of Technology, will help bring awareness to fraud and promote an ethical culture when he presents “Business Model Disruption and Its Effect on Ethics Infusion of Culture” at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17, in the Health Sciences and Business Administration Building Auditorium at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ.
Hurd is a certified information systems security professional and a certified information systems auditor. Sponsored by Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ’s Office of the President, Office of Internal Audit, and Harley Langdale Jr. College of Business Administration, the presentation is free of charge and open to all faculty, staff, students, retirees, alumni, and friends of the university. Light refreshments will be provided.
Hurd’s visit is part of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ’s recognition of International Fraud Awareness Week, a global effort to minimize the impact of fraud by promoting anti-fraud awareness and education.
