Faculty, staff, students, retirees, alumni, and friends of the university are welcome to attend.

Dr. Ted Geltner, an associate professor in Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Department of English, will read excerpts from his critically acclaimed 2016 book, Blood, Bone, and Marrow: A Biography of Harry Crews, published by University of Georgia Press.

“Crews was one of South Georgia’s very own,” shared Dr. Myrto Drizou, an assistant professor in Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Department of English. “Raised on a South Georgia tenant farm, he grew to be a unique journalist, novelist, and memoirist. He developed one of the most memorable voices in American letters that continues to haunt readers and critics of his work.”

This event is presented free of charge by Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Department of English.
