Community Invited to Interfaith Panel Discussion Oct. 27
VALDOSTA – Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ’s Philosophy and Religious Studies Club will host Religious Holidays and Food from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27, in the University Center Theater. Admission to the panel discussion is free of charge and open to the public.
Throughout the evening, a six-member panel — Rabbi Moshe Elbaz of Temple Israel; Father Peter Ingeman of Christ Episcopal Church; Deborah Marine, Phillip Williams, and Joshua Gomez, representatives of the Covenant Unitarian Universalist Pagans of Valdosta; and Dr. Elvan Aktas, associate professor of finance in the Department of Economics and Finance — will share their thoughts on religious holidays and traditions celebrated in the fall and winter seasons.
