Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Campus Wellness Hosts Take Heart Feb. 27
VALDOSTA – Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Campus Wellness will continue promoting American Heart Month by hosting Take Heart on Friday, Feb. 27, in the Student Union Ballrooms.
Free health and information screenings will be offered to all faculty, staff, and students beginning at 10 a.m. This will be followed by a heart healthy luncheon and panel discussion from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost for lunch is $5 per person.
The Take Heart panel will include Sarah Fretti Thomas, instructor of exercise physiology, and Dr. Serina McEntire, assistant professor of exercise physiology, from the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
Thomas and McEntire will share their expert advice on general heart health, including information on determining risk factors and how to prevent and manage cardiovascular disease. They will also demonstrate heart healthy exercises.
