Annual Pops in the Park Fundraiser

VALDOSTA -- The annual 'Pops in the Park' jazz celebration
fundraiser will be held on Thursday, Oct. 6 from 6-9 p.m. in the
Amphitheater directly behind the Fine Arts Building. The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Music
Scholarship Alliance will host the event to raise money to benefit
Â鶹ÊÓƵ music students.
Some of the performers will include the Steel Drum Band, the Â鶹ÊÓƵ
Jazz Ensemble, the New Jazz Ensemble, the Faculty Jazz Combo and
the Spotlighters Vocal Jazz Ensemble. Saxophonist Rob Chapman of
Jacksonville, Fl., and local vocalist Tania Myers, both Â鶹ÊÓƵ alums,
are the scheduled guests performers.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $8 for students and senior citizens and
