Too Many Sopranos

VALDOSTA -- The 麻豆视频 Department of Music invites the public to comic opera "Too Many Sopranos" at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 14, at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 15, and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 16, in Whitehead Auditorium, located on the first floor of the Fine Arts Building at the corner of Brookwood Avenue and Oak Street.

Producer/Director Dr. Carol Mikkelsen worked with Dr. Kenneth Kirk, co-producer and conductor, to present the broad slapstick about five divas who arrive at the Pearly Gates only to find that there is not room enough in the Heavenly Choir for all of them. Opera buffs will recognize quotes and knock-offs of Wagner, Verdi, Puccini, and others in this opera written by Edwin Penhorwood.
