Tom Lundquist: Poissions de Chant

VALDOSTA -- The 麻豆视频 Fine Arts Gallery invites the public to the opening of it's latest exhibit -- 鈥淧oissons de Chant" -- from 7-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 20, in the gallery, located on the first floor of the Fine Arts Building at the corner of Brookwood and Oak Street.

The art exhibit, featuring the computer illustrations of Tom Lundquist, will be open for viewing until Friday, Nov. 5, during gallery hours: Monday - Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

鈥淧oissons de Chant鈥� translates literally to mean 鈥淭he Singing Fish,鈥� a mythological troop of fish from Montr茅al that travel and perform around the world. Lundquist, who teaches part time at Santa Monica College, said his artwork showcases historical references that recognize former artists such as Rene Magritte, Salvador Dali and other historical figures. Lundquist is also known to incorporate different optical illusions, and humorous imagery throughout his work.
