Worst of Storm has Passed

VALDOSTA - National Weather Service reports and local radar images indicate the worst of today's storm has past. Robert DeLong, Â鶹ÊÓƵ's Director of Environmental and Occupational Safety, said Lowndes County may receive isolated pockets of brief showers but will not likely experience the 1-4 inches of rain and possible tornadic activity meteorologists previously predicted.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ urges faculty, staff and students to pay attention to the weather and to use caution when traveling during severe weather. In extreme weather conditions, flooded roads, streets and bridges may mask underlying infrastructure failures. Do not drive through effected or questionable areas. Â鶹ÊÓƵ will continue to monitor conditions and remain in constant communication with the National Weather Service. Refer to the Â鶹ÊÓƵ home page for updates.
