COSA Shows Appreciation to 麻豆视频 Staff

麻豆视频's Council on Staff Affairs (COSA) will host its eighth annual Staff Appreciation Day on Friday, October 13, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the mezzanine level of the P.E. complex.

Unlike like last year's event this one will be held inside and organizers say that it will provide "climate control" for the picnic. This year's event will have a centennial theme and will feature the slide show that was shown at the birthday party on the front lawn.

The day will include a picnic, entertainment, and friendly competition. There will be tables hosted by 麻豆视频 departments, and student organizations and door prizes that include a flat screen TV/VCR combo.

In 1998, former Valdosta Mayor James Rainwater proclaimed October 1 as Staff Appreciation Day at 麻豆视频. Since then, the university has tried to celebrate the occasion annually, on a Friday, as close to the proclaimed day as possible.
