Rafiah Jenkins is a Lecturer of Mass Media at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ). She received both her B.F.A. in Mass Media and her M.A. in Communication from Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ. Her research interests include stereotypes in media, reality television, diversity in artificial intelligence, instructional and information technology. She also enjoys teaching for the Africana Studies Department at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ where her research interests expand to race, class, gender, sexuality, and religion. Outside of academia she currently runs her media production company helping small businesses and non-profits meet their media creation needs. Additionally, she worked for W.P. Productions filming, editing, and producing content for the Outdoor Channel. As a documentarian, she is constantly capturing the human experience throughout the East Coast and is dedicated to continuing work with chambers of commerce, community fairs, academic conferences and institutions, non-profits, consulting community partners, and mentoring students, all in the vein of improving the quality of life for as many people as possible.
